I'm baaaack.
I know. You probably never realized I was gone. Well, I wasn't gone from the website, but I was gone from Atlanta. That's the magic of "have laptop; will travel."
This trip took me to the coast of South Carolina, just outside Charleston, an area that is becoming one of my favorite places.
Any favorite place of mine has to have the beach, which this does. I also love the history and quaintness and quirkiness of Charleston.
I was there for about four days. Just back last night. You didn't miss me because of the beauty of wi fi and my trusty production assistant, Heather, backing me up from her current homebase in Orlando.
When people ask me if I have an office, I wave my finger toward the sky. "It's out there," I try to explain. "My office is cyberspace."
That's what allows me to have the laptop lifetyle. Whether it's vacation or a professional opportunity, I can just pick up and go.
I want to give you a heads up as to my next destination. Early next month I head to San Francisco. Those wonderful women at Ladies Who Launch are having me out to another inspirational event where I will speak and sign books. They're called Be Your Own Boss events. So, ladies, if you've ever dreamed of creating your own business and yes, being your own boss, and happen to be in the Bay Area on September 6th, please join us.
And for my Canadian friends, I'll be up in your neck of the woods in Toronto on October 4th.
Just want to give you a heads up.
Now, I'm going to go pretend that I'm unpacking my suitcase from this last trip. Hopefully, I won't do that thing where it sits in the corner until I'm forced to unpack it, just so that I can pack it again for the new trip. Clearly, not my most inspirational trait. I don't think I'll be booked for a professional organizer's show anytime soon, unless it is for an intervention.
